Dr. Emily Kline is involved in MPATH as an advisor and consultant. She is a clinical psychologist, writer, and assistant professor at Boston University School of Medicine. She created Motivational Interviewing for Loved Ones, a simplified motivational interviewing curriculum for family caregivers and The School of Hard Talks Online, a free e-course for parents of teens and young adults interested in learning how they can use motivational interviewing with their kids. Her book, The School of Hard Talks: How to Have Real Conversations with Your (Almost Grown) Kids, is now available for pre-order from Penguin Random House and most major booksellers.
She also sees patients at Boston Medical Center in her role as the director of psychological services for the Wellness and Recovery After Psychosis team, Massachusetts’s largest coordinated specialty care team for psychotic disorders. In previous roles, she served as co-founder and director of MAPNET (Massachusetts Psychosis Network for Early Treatment) and site leader for multiple NIMH funded studies.
