bryt works with schools using a structured yet flexible planning process that includes:
- Opportunities to talk with and visit similar schools already implementing the bryt model
- Determining need and identifying resources necessary for effective implementation
- Assets and needs mapping utilizing the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework to ensure bryt is aligned with related work in the school
- Developing a customized, comprehensive, and amendable operations plan guiding implementation of bryt, including a plan for initial and ongoing communication about bryt within the school community
- Providing a core set of forms and documents (“starter pack”) for the school team’s use during initial implementation
Upon initial implementation of the bryt model in the school, a District/School Support Specialist from The Brookline Center’s bryt Team provides:
- Biweekly technical assistance calls with the school’s bryt staff
- Monthly meetings with the wider team in the school supporting bryt
- At-least-annual self-assessment and continuous improvement planning based in bryt’s program development rubric
While the intensity of the Center’s bryt Team support decreases as the bryt intervention becomes well-established in the school, the bryt District/School Support Specialist is always available to provide support as new needs and challenges arise.
