The Brookline Center has been working for more than a decade to establish and grow a research and evidence base for bryt. Key publications and reports include:
- This is the Time to Lead with Mental Health and Equity in Mind, our 2021 white paper focused on effective transitions back to in-person schooling during the COVID-19 pandemic
- BRYT Notes, our 2018 qualitative evaluation report on the impact of the bryt intervention on wider school culture and infrastructure
- A 2017 descriptive evaluation study of bryt in the peer-reviewed journal Psychiatry in the Schools
- The American Psychiatric Association’s Gold Achievement Award to bryt in 2014
bryt is grateful to be engaged, since 2020, in a long-term research collaborative with the iSPARC team UMass Chan Medical School’s Department of Psychiatry focused on continuing to build the research base for bryt. So far this partnership has generated a logic model and two manuals for bryt (one for schools implementing the bryt intervention and one for bryt District/School Support Specialists), and we are moving toward a small random control trial to further demonstrate bryt’s efficacy.
Additionally, bryt has been featured in a wide variety of third-party publications and in the popular media, including:
